City of Bacoor Mayor Strike B. Revilla, PhD, and Congw. Lani Mercado Revilla led the blessing and inauguration of Day Care Center and Library with playground at Brgy. Sineguelasan

• City of Bacoor Mayor Strike B. Revilla, PhD, and Congw. Lani Mercado Revilla led the blessing and  inauguration of Day Care Center and Library with playground at Brgy. Sineguelasan on 27 June. According to City Engineer Robert San Jose, the 2-story building with deck will likewise house the barangay’s office of  senior citizens.

The city’s 24/7 Mayor expressed his gratitude to the barangay council and residents of Sineguelasan headed  by Brgy. Capt. Nestor Ignacio for their support in last Saturday’s plebiscite, which contributed to its success  and led to the proclamation of the 341-year-old municipality as a city. Brgy. Capt. Ignacio, speaking in  behalf of his constituents, thanked Mayor Strike, Congw, Lani and the rest of the local officials for the  construction of said project. Also present during the event were City Councilor Atty. Venus de Castro,  Asosasyon ng mga Barangay Kagawad sa Bacoor (ABAKA) President Caring Sanchez, Bacoor Public  Safety Unit (BPSU) Chief Lem Melo, Day Care Center teachers, parents and students, senior citizens, and  non government organizations.

• Now that Bacoor has finally been proclaimed a city, its local government is leaving no stone unturned in  order to deliver quality and high-impact projects to Bacoorenos. Foremost amongst its priority infrastructure  projects is the construction of the new Bacoor Government Center along Molino Boulevard. The 3-storey  building (with basement) boasts state-of-the-art technologies both in architecture and engineering, including  the internationally-accepted ‘green building’ technology. It is to house the city government of Bacoor, office  of the House of Representatives, and satellite offices of several national government agencies. Just recently,  City Mayor Strike B. Revilla, PhD, made an ocular inspection at the project site, visibly satisfied at the  ongoing construction. He is positive that by 2013, the new Bacoor Government Center will be fully  operational - providing better, faster, and more accessible services to Bacoorenos. Joining the 24/7 local  chief executive during the site visit is City Engineer Robert San Jose.
