No less than Vice President and Chairman of Jejomar C. Binay witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Local Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, PhD, and the Home
Development Mutual Fund (PagIBIG) for the Strike Ville Housing project on 16 April. The project, which aims to provide a lowcost housing unit at very affordable price to public school teachers and government employees, is part of the local government’s commitment to basic quality services for Bacoorenos. The low-cost housing project called ‘Strike Ville Subdivision’, located at Soriano Compound in Brgy. Zapote 1, is a medium high-rise building covering about 14,685 square meters, with each unit size at 32.5 square meters. Each threestorey cluster shall have 24 housing units. It is designed to have a commercial center, schools, playgrounds, materials recovery facility (MRF) and a parking space. In order to hasten the housing project, Mayor Strike created Municipal Resolution No. 53 Series of 2012 authorizing the Municipal Mayor to negotiate with any proponent on the Socialized Housing Project of the Municipal Government in partnership with the Home Mutual Development Fund. A housing committee was likewise convened to facilitate the pre-qualifying, monitoring and control of the housing project implementation.
